Event Details
The biggest Penguin event of the year, the Sweaty Penguin Regatta was hosted by the Tred Avon Yacht Club on Sunday, July 5th. Mike and Sarah Baugh pulled out all the stops to get boats out of barns, garages, sheds, etc. and make sure they were ready for the event. A special condition for the event was that boats either had to be skippered by a junior skipper or have a junior sailor as crew. It took a while for the wind to fill in, but it did eventually, and 3 races were sailed. The emphasis was on family and fun, with teams consisting of parent-child, grandparent-grandchild, parent with 2 children, all junior, and adult-junior. Wil Keyworth was on hand to capture the action. Some of the photos are shown below, and the rest are available in the photo section of the SpinSheet website.
